Biography

Miley Cyrus was born on November 23rd, 1992 in Nashville, Tennessee. Her mom is Leticia Cyrus and her father, famous country singer, Billy Ray Cyrus. Miley knew she wanted to be a star ever since she snuck out of her nanny's care and onto the stage while her dad performed. When she was younger, she appeared as an extra in some of her dad's television projects, including a part on the hit television show, "Doc". When she was only 10 years old, she appeared in the very popular Tim Burton film, "Big Fish".

Now at age 14, Miley is starring in the #1 television show on Disney Channel, "Hannah Montana". Miley plays a normal teenager, Miley Stewart, who is normal by day and the popstar, Hannah Montana at night. The first season was very successful around the world and the second season has already begun filming and is to be aired sometime around March of 2007.

Miley went on a national tour, opening for The Cheetah Girls and Vanessa Anne Hudgens from in September of 2006. Mostly all of the tour dates were sold out.

The soundtrack and a DVD were both released on October 24th, 2006. The soundtrack made it onto the Billboards chart and hit #1 for two weeks in a row and is currently still on the charts. While promoting the two products and the show, Miley made some appearances on very popular television shows including "Good Morning America", "Live With Regis & Kelly", and "Total Request Live".

In both January and February, Miley did promotional tours for "Hannah Montana" again. In the beginning of March, her along with The Cheetah Girls performed at the Houston Rodeo. She made a record and sold over 73,000 tickets for it. Towards the end of March, Miley went on a promotional tour in the UK and performed as part of a special "Hannah Montana: Live In London" broadcast. In April, during the filming of the Disney Channel Games, she performed her first ever solo performances of herself as Miley Cyrus and not known as Hannah Montana. The album release date is currently set for June 26th, 2007.

Miley currently resides in La Cañada Filtrigde in Los Angeles, California. She lives with her two sisters, Noah and Brandi and also three brothers, Braison, Trace, and Christopher. The family has dogs named Loco and Juicy.
